Nic Boniface, Head of Addiction Services

My previous career was working with 11 - 17 year old young people excluded from main stream education, encouraging them to recognise and acknowledge their skills and abilities, and supporting them into achieving qualifications. I quickly learned that consistency, boundaries and compassion were key to creating the environment that was conducive to learning for these amazing students, who were facing a variety of personal challenges and mainstream school had reinforced their difference from their peers. Watching as their self confidence and esteem grew was a pleasure I will never forget.

I have worked for the Kenward Trust for 12 years. I am responsible for the effective delivery of our Recovery Treatment Projects. Kenward House, Kenward Barn (our 12 Step Project) and our Therapeutic Gardens and Workshops. I have overall responsibility for the counselling service and clinical supervision of our staff team; I am also our Safeguarding Lead.

Outside of Kenward, I have a private practice, offering counselling & clinical Supervision and teach counselling for KCC.

I firmly believe working with our residents have improved who I am as a person over the years, and I am committed to working in their best interest for the foreseeable future.
