#GivingTuesday 2021

Kenward Trust joins #GivingTuesday 2021, the global day of generosity taking place on 30 November

Kenward Trust is thrilled to announce that we’re one of the thousands of organisations taking part in this year’s #GivingTuesday campaign, which we're coinciding with the launch of our Christmas Campaign!

Brought to the UK in 2014 by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), this year #GivingTuesday offers the opportunity to give back to good causes, either by donating to charity, reaffirming commitment to a cause, volunteering time or supporting others by simply helping a friend, neighbour or family member.

From providing established front line services like health support to the rise of local giving networks delivering food to their next door neighbours, over the last year the global pandemic has seen charities step up like never before, helping keep communities going across the country.

In the face of this rising demand, a number of charities have faced financial and social challenges as traditional fundraising opportunities have been shut off to them. Giving Tuesday is a chance to secure their future in the post-pandemic world.

In 2020 #GivingTuesday was the top trending item on UK Twitter and generated more than 360 million impressions. In the UK, more than £20 million was raised in online donations, more than ever before.

Penny Williams, CEO of Kenward Trust, says:

“Giving Tuesday is a great initiative and donations are an essential life line for charities who have suffered a lack of funds during the pandemic. Kenward Trust helps those affected by addiction, homelessness and crime. We enable people to transform their lives and create a new future away from addiction. Our work spans from sessions in schools delivering early education and interventions, through to residential rehab and providing resettlement homes in the community.

Every donation makes a difference and donations to Kenward Trust truly saves lives.”

Andy Frain, #GivingTuesday UK Lead at the CAF, adds:

“We’re all looking forward to moving on from the pandemic as soon as it is safe to do so, but it’s so important we remember the work done to help keep communities going over the last year and a half.

Giving Tuesday is a great chance to Give Back to the charities and causes that we care about, and thank them for overcoming some immense challenges over the course of this pandemic.

People can Give in so many ways and we’re always amazed at the diversity of people’s generosity – whether it is donating money, volunteering time or just amplifying your support for a charity, any act of Giving can make all the difference to a cause you care about.”
