Animal Welfare & Alpaca Walker

Part-Time / Flexible

We’re looking for a caring and reliable individual to join our team at Kenward Place, supporting the day-to-day welfare of our animals and delivering our popular alpaca experiences.

This is a part-time, flexible role, with Fridays required and additional hours available during busy periods and holidays.

You’ll play an important part in ensuring our animals are well cared for, safe and happy, while also helping to deliver memorable experiences for our visitors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Daily care and welfare checks for all animals

  • Monitoring and recording health and wellbeing

  • Ensuring feed supplies are stocked and ordered

  • Leading alpaca walking experiences (and training others when needed)

  • Supporting enrichment activities for the animals

  • Maintaining safe working practices and risk assessments

  • Working closely with the wider team across site

What we’re looking for:

  • A genuine love for animals and the outdoors

  • Reliable, proactive and happy to work as part of a team

  • Confident interacting with visitors

  • Flexible and willing to support during busy periods

This is a lovely opportunity to work in a beautiful countryside setting, as part of a friendly team, while supporting the work of Kenward Trust.
