  • Help lead engaging, peer‑led activity groups at Kenward Trust

We are looking for enthusiastic Activities Volunteers to lead small group sessions that support connection, confidence, and wellbeing for the people we support.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who enjoy facilitating activities, sharing a skill or interest, and helping groups thrive in a relaxed and supportive environment.

    About the Role

As an Activities Volunteer, you will take the lead in running a group session, with Kenward Trust staff nearby for support if needed. Groups are largely peer‑led, with the volunteer overseeing the activity, encouraging participation, and helping the session run smoothly.

Each session will last around 60 minutes. Volunteers are encouraged (where possible) to stay for a few hours and potentially run two groups in one day.

    • Sessions can run on:

      • Weekends (Saturday or Sunday) – flexible time slots

      • Evenings:

        • 4:30–5:30pm

        • 7:30–9:30pm

Group sizes are typically 6–8 people per session.

    • Friendly, inclusive, and confident leading small groups

    • Reliable and committed to regular sessions

    • Comfortable facilitating sessions independently, with staff support available if needed

    • Interested in peer‑led activities and community engagement

Experience working with groups is helpful but not essential.

    • A meaningful volunteering role making a real difference

    • Experience in group facilitation and activity leadership

    • Support from a friendly and experienced staff team
