Qualified Counsellor with EMDR accreditation

Kenward Trust are recruiting for a Qualified Counsellor who holds a recognised therapeutic qualification to a minimum of Level 4, is accredited with EMDR UK and has experience of working with addiction.

In September 2025, Kenward was one of the first to introduce EMDR counselling for residents in residential first stage treatment for substance misuse issues, and to date it has been an overwhelming success. We would like to expand our facilitating team so we can offer more residents to opportunity to have the choice of the type of counselling that is the most appropriate to them.

EMDR has been proven to be an effective form of counselling for those who have experienced extensive trauma, which is the case for many who are experiencing issues with substance misuse. We are excited to offer our residents the choice of counselling alongside our treatment models of the 12 Step programme and the Recovery Model incorporating SMART.

If you are an innovative thinker and would relish an opportunity to make a huge difference to people’s lives, this is a chance to be part of a team that is at the forefront of residential care in a beautiful location in the Kent countryside.
