Full-time Support Worker

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support worker to join the Kenward Trust Residential Resettlement team to work across all the projects across Kent and East Sussex.

We are looking for an empathic, organised person who can work well under pressure to join our Kenward Community staff team. Experience of working within Drug and Alcohol services or similar fields such as Offender Services, Mental Health or Homeless Charities is helpful but not essential.

We are looking for an individual who can support the Keyworker team and our residents who are experiencing difficulties as a consequence of drug and alcohol misuse. Our residents are

receiving primary stage treatment at our residential rehabilitation setting in Yalding near Maidstone, Kent. There is a high level of driving residents to appointments so applicants must be able to drive a manual car and have a clean licence.

Competitive starting salary.

This a full-time role (37.5 hours) predominately Monday to Friday. There may be some weekend or evening appointments, so flexibility is important.

This is a demanding but a rewarding role. We require a strong team player who can build relationships with staff and residents and embrace diversity. Key qualities we are looking for include  patience, empathy, good organisational skills and the ability to use initiative.

All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and be required to provide supporting references.

Applicants must have the Care Certificate or show willing to complete this within the first four weeks of employment.
