On Saturday 17th May, sixteen courageous volunteers from BNI Pioneer, a business networking group based in Maidstone, will take on the Kent Charity Trek, a challenging walk across the Kent countryside. Their mission: to raise vital funds for Kenward Trust's essential youth work in schools.
Kenward Trust, based in Yalding, is a nationally recognised centre for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction. Beyond rehabilitation, the Trust is committed to early intervention, education, and prevention through its work in schools and communities.
The funds raised from the Kent Charity Trek will specifically support Kenward Trust’s Think Differently programme, which educates young people on the serious consequences of drug and alcohol misuse. By highlighting how choices made today can impact their futures, families, and wider communities, Think Differently empowers young people to make safer, healthier decisions.
With the support of the Kenward Pioneers and their sponsors, the Trust hopes to extend the reach of their life-saving school visits, ultimately safeguarding more young lives across Kent and beyond.
Penny Williams, CEO, Kenward Trust:
"We are thrilled to have the support of BNI Pioneer members. Every step they take brings us closer to reaching more young people with vital education and support."
Louise James, President of BNI Pioneers said:
“BNI Pioneer is a family not just a business networking group and we are very happy to support our chapter charity any way we can. I’m proud of the commitment our members are showing to raising money for such a worthwhile cause”
