An event to be proud of - Kenward Trust fundraising "Will Change Lives Ball"

An event to be proud of - Kenward Trust fundraising "Will Change Lives Ball" A huge success raising over £20,000 to support Life-Saving Youth Intervention and Prevention Services in Schools across Kent and Medway

Kenward Trust was proud to host its first ever charity ball on Saturday, 15th March 2025, at the Mercure Hotel, Maidstone with over 270 guests enjoying great entertainment, auction and raffle taking place.

Kenward Will Change Lives Ball was held to raise awareness and vital funds for its life-saving youth intervention and prevention programme Think Differently, and in memory of Will Horley, the beloved son of the Trust’s Youth Executive, Kim Webster, whose tragic story underscores the urgent need for intervention and education work in schools.

At just 17 years old, Will’s life was cut short in 2018 after experimenting with drugs. What happened to Will is a heartbreaking reminder that drug misuse can have devastating consequences, even from a single, seemingly innocuous decision. His story, shared by Kim through our "Think Differently" program, has already impacted thousands of young lives.

This spectacular event was a night to remember, filled with glitz, glamour, and a cause that warmed everyone’s heart. There was music, dancing and a delectable two-course meal. There were performing arts students from Leigh Academy, Sponsors were KM Media Group, Lecester Brunt and Exquitech.

The true highlight of the night was the abundance of fundraising fun, where everyone generously contributed to Kenward Trust's mission and helped to raise over £20k.

The room was lit up with gold and glamorous attire and a full dancefloor with guests dancing the night away. Thank you to everyone who supported the event and really made a difference.

Kenward’s CEO Penny Williams said: “What an amazing night raising money for our youth work in schools. So many generous people have supported by buying tickets, providing prizes and bidding in the auction to raise over £20,000. This will help us fund Kenward’s work in schools across Kent with the Think Differently programme, saving young lives. Our community thrives when young people thrive. Every young mind has the potential to Think Differently”
