Participants walked either 25km or 50km across Kent in a remarkable show of determination, community spirit and commitment to supporting young people across the county.
The funds raised will directly support Kenward Trust’s Think Differently programme, which delivers vital education and prevention workshops in schools, helping young people make informed choices around addiction, mental health, risk-taking behaviours and wellbeing.
The achievement marks an important milestone for the charity, enabling the programme to reach even more schools and potentially save more young lives through early intervention and education.
Penny Williams, CEO, Kenward Trust, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone at BNI Pioneer Maidstone who took part in the Kent Charity Trek. Raising over £6,000 is an amazing achievement and will make a real difference to the young people we support through our Think Differently programme.
The energy, kindness and determination shown throughout the day were truly inspiring. We are so proud to call this wonderful group part of the Kenward Trust family.”
The event also had an unexpected four-legged star, Luna the dog, who captured hearts, kept spirits high throughout the trek and received her own medal too!
Kenward Trust has been supporting individuals and families affected by addiction, homelessness, and complex needs for over 58 years. Through programmes like Think Differently, the charity continues its mission to prevent harm, build resilience, and create brighter futures for communities across Kent.
