Kenward Trust Proud to Sponsor the 2025 Kent Teacher of the Year Awards

Kenward Trust was honoured to be one of the sponsors of this year’s Kent Teacher of the Year Awards 2025, a celebration of the outstanding dedication, passion, and impact of Kent’s educational professionals.

The prestigious event took place at the Ashford International Hotel and brought together educators, community leaders, and supporters from across the county. It was a heartfelt evening filled with admiration and gratitude, celebrating the vital role teachers play in shaping futures and enriching lives.

John Shanley, Head of Youth Services at Kenward Trust and one of the judges at this year’s awards, shared:

“It was a pleasure to be a sponsor and part of this evening of celebration, recognising the work of some exceptional people. It was an honour to be a judge and hear more about these amazing teachers and the difference they are making.”

From the first welcome to the final applause, the room radiated pride and appreciation. Each award winner’s story stood as a powerful reminder of the life-changing work educators do every day. Their achievements were met with standing ovations, smiles, and even a few happy tears, making it a night to remember for everyone in attendance.

At Kenward Trust, we are committed to reaching young people to help them understand the risks of alcohol and drug use. We work in schools with an award winning intervention and prevention educational programme called Think Differently, for young people aged 11-18.

We present real life experiences that show the consequences of substance misuse. We use people with lived experience whose lives were turned upside down due to drug and alcohol use or a parent who lost a child.

We are proud to stand beside fellow sponsors, community champions, and all those who contributed to making the evening such a success. The impact of this recognition is far-reaching, and thanks to everyone involved, it was a truly unforgettable celebration.
