Social Impact Statement

Kenward Trust helps those affected by addiction, homelessness and crime, and since our formation in 1968 we have supported over 10,000 people, with a Christian ethos and mission to transform their lives and create new futures, substance free.

Our residential rehab based in Yalding is a CQC registered site, with a rating of ‘Good’, and offers a therapeutic programme as well as a 12 Steps Programme with highly experienced therapists and support workers.

Residents are encouraged to take responsibility for their own emotions and behaviours and, through group working, positively and pragmatically address former addictive behaviours and lifestyles.

If our residents are homeless, we provide continued housing options including The Lodge and MoveOn properties and houses across Kent, providing a safe place they can call home whilst continuing their recovery journey with peer support. During this time our residents have key workers who support them, they attend therapy and integrate back into society, building confidence through means of voluntary work in the community and rebuilding relations with family and friends.

Our Youth Services Team have been providing intervention and education programmes in schools (Think Differently) and Outreach work within communities for over 20 years now, making a huge difference to many families and saving the lives of young people, giving education around alcohol and drugs and informing them that they have a choice.

Kenward Trust has made sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint a priority. The head office site in Yalding has a rainwater harvesting system, photovoltaic power through solar panels, and biomass heating and hot water through recovered materials (pellets). We take all our social responsibilities very seriously, and pride ourselves on the social impact we make short and long term.
