On 17th February 2023, Kenward Trust was extremely pleased when John Shanley deservedly received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sevenoaks District Awards Making it Happen. This marked the 20 Year anniversary of John working for Kenward Trust, including 16 years as Sevenoaks Substance Misuse Outreach Worker. John heads up the award winning Youth Services Team and has worked with partners such as Police, KCC youth projects, SAYT, House in the Basement and many more. This year not only marks John's lifetime achievements but the Youth Services Team won Kent Care Charity Award 2023 - a proud moment and way to celebrate Kenward's 55th anniversary.

He trained Youth Workers, assisted parents with talks and support and has worked closely with any parish councils. In total, John has made a big difference to families, even moving through the generations by mentoring individuals and maintaining connections. John also manages the Estates Team with Colin Umbers ensuring the site at Kenward House (and other MoveOn properties) are always safe and the vast countryside grounds and woodlands of Kenward Trust looking beautiful.
