Aamer Sarfraz

With 18 years of experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist at NHS, I have special interest and expertise in Adult, Old Age, and Addiction Psychiatry.

I have trained and qualified from prestigious institutions in London, and have worked in three continents, contributing to patient care and health service delivery at all levels. Currently I lead on Patient Safety and Primary Care Networks, my previous challenge was to become a Medical Director at East London, in a service under CQC special measures. I led on clinical governance and strategy, opened wards, recruited and trained staff, and hosted two successful CQC visits, resulting in a "Good" rating.

I am a visiting Professor of Psychiatry at PMC and CCU, a founder of institutions, an advisor to governments, and a board member of organisations. I have authored multiple research papers, policies, protocols, and books on mental health. I am passionate about enhancing the quality and safety of mental health services, and advancing the field of psychiatry through innovation and collaboration.
