Kenward Trust, Yalding is a residential treatment centre near Maidstone which is committed to support and empower individuals affected by addiction to substances to transform their lives. Our incredible catering team cater up to up to 41 residents, providing healthy, nutritious meals 7 days a week.  

We are looking for a new staff member to join the team, who is flexible and is able to cover up to 3 shifts a week preferably two evenings and a Sunday lunch.  

Initially this is as a flexi hours contract, with scope for a permanent fixed hour contract.  

The evenings shifts are normally 2.30/3pm – 6.30/7pm 

Weekend shifts 9.30am – 2/2.30pm 

The person will be responsible for the preparation and serving of resident and staff meals for the shift along with the food preparation for the evening if it is a weekend shift. You will need to be organised, calm and able to use your initiative. Experience of working in a catering environment would be preferable although a confident home cook will be considered.  

The successful applicant will be able to comply with the obligatory legal undertakings and required standards of cleanliness, food safety and health and safety standards. 

We are looking for applicants who preferable have a City and Guilds (or equivalent) catering qualification however this is not compulsory
