Kenward Place Hosts Successful First Art Fair

Kenward Place was proud to host its very first Art Fair on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December, welcoming art lovers from across the region to experience a vibrant display of local talent. The two-day event featured 21 talented artists from Kent and Sussex, showcasing an impressive variety of artworks, including acrylics, oils, pastels, and ceramics.

The Art Fair proved to be a hit with the local community, with many visitors taking the opportunity to meet the artists in person and purchase unique pieces of art. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Kettle Bridge Concertinas entertained guests with their joyful melodies, filling the air with seasonal cheer.

A particularly special moment at the event came with the attendance of local artist Sir Thomas Best-Shaw, a descendant of Lady Shaw, who once resided at Kenward House. The connection to the venue was further marked by the presence of Lady Shaw's portrait, displayed in the foray of Kenward House.

Reflecting on the success of the inaugural Art Fair, CEO Penny Williams expressed her delight at the turnout and community support; "We are thrilled with the response to our first Art Fair and are already planning to hold another one in 2025. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to making this event truly memorable."
