Taylor Wimpey donates over 300 wash bags

Taylor Wimpey South East has donated 324 wash bags to the Kenward Trust.

The homebuilder, with the help of its subcontractors, purchased the items for the washbags in support of the annual washbag campaign led by CRASH, a national charity that helps the homeless. The initiative aims to provide vulnerable people around the UK with essential toiletry items including toothpaste, shower gel and sanitary products.

This campaign is the latest that Taylor Wimpey has championed in support of CRASH who are one of six national charities that the developer works with each year.

Michael Bourne, Head of Resettlement at Kenward Trust, said: “On behalf of everyone at Kenward Trust, we are incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this thoughtful donation of washbags. These essential items will make a real difference to the vulnerable individuals we support, particularly during the more challenging winter months. Initiatives like this remind us how much can be achieved when communities and businesses come together to support those in need.”

Tim Betts, Managing Director of Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “It’s really important for us to make positive contributions to the communities where we build new homes and the work that CRASH and Kenward Trust do is such a fantastic cause to get behind, especially at Christmas time.

“We’re really proud of how the team at our regional office in Tonbridge has supported the washbag initiative and with such a large number being donated, we hope they make a real difference to those in need.”
