Kenward Café Featured on BBC Radio Kent’s Kent Coffee Stops
Cafe Manager, Gerry
We’re delighted to share some exciting news from Kenward Place — Kenward Café has recently been featured on BBC Radio Kent’s Kent Coffee Stops.
Across the week, members of our café team were interviewed on air, sharing what makes Kenward Café such a special place to visit. From the welcoming atmosphere and great food to its beautiful countryside setting, it was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the café and its connection to the wider work of Kenward Trust.
The feature also marked an exciting new chapter for the café with the arrival of our new Café Manager, Gerry, who began her role during the week of the broadcast. Gerry brings a wealth of experience, having previously managed a café in Sevenoaks for 18 years, and quickly made an impression — including taking part in a live radio interview on her very first day.
Speaking about joining the team, Gerry said:
“I feel very grateful to be part of such a wonderful charity. The café itself is so special, and I can’t wait to get stuck in and to be working here full time”.
Kenward Café is more than just a place to enjoy good food and coffee. It is a social enterprise, with all profits reinvested directly back into Kenward Trust to support our life‑changing addiction recovery services. Every visit helps us continue transforming lives and supporting individuals on their journey to recovery.
We’re incredibly grateful to BBC Radio Kent for shining a spotlight on the café, and to our fantastic team for sharing their stories so confidently. If you missed the feature, it’s available to listen to on BBC Sounds.
Whether you’re a regular visitor or discovering us for the first time, we’d love to welcome you to Kenward Café — come and see what all the buzz is about.
